I recommend something that is plastic and only requires dusting...same effect, half the work.

 

Ivy...and staple it to a stick so it looks tall? ~

We have a huge aloe vera that tolerates abuse nicely. I'll take a pic of it for you tomorrow. When we got it, it came in a tiny little pot about 2 inches across. Now it's in a large pot about 2 feet across and has started making babies.

I recommend aloe vera because it's easy to care for, grows into a huge, showy plant plus, if any of the cute girls in the office get a burn, you can nurse their wounds!

 

Get a Bonsai Tree

 

Not large plants by any means...in fact kinda small, but you want something cool...go Carnivorous.

Nothing like a Pitcher Plant, or a Butterwart Plant! The Venus Flytrap is too hard to take care of, though.

I've grown some Butterwarts...awesome little plant, and the Sundew. Sundew is really neat looking, though, again, small. But really cool.

A hanging Pitcher Plant is about as big as you are going to get for Carnivorous...unless you get that real big one that stinks real bad..like rotting flesh.

And just think...your cube will be insect free!! heheheh

 

Caring for a Ficus

 

I dont have an Office with a window, so I would just draw a picture in CAD of the Outside Plot it nice and pretty then hang it on me wall. I imagine you can do the same with yer photo of the "Snake Plant".

 

I just got a 5 foot tall bamboo plant. Nice thing is all you need to do is make sure the roots are always submreged in water (so you can't really over water the thing). Has a huge bowl base that is clear so I can see the water level...very easy to take care of, and it looks great with the asian motif of my office.

 

get a philodendran, its viny plant, and make sure that what ever you get you put it in a self watering plot, can be obtained at walmart or home depot (i think) this way you just water it once a week i abuse the crap out of mine and have had several for almsot fifteen years now, they always look nice and they will give you warning signs if they need anything, turning yellow they get too much water and they will kinda droop when they need water

they are great office plants, whatever you decide to go with though, i would highly reccomend the self watering pots!! this will save you lots of troubles. you just make sure the resivour in the bottom has water and your plant will be happy

 

Kudzu for the win.

 

until the kudzu overgrows the entire office during the next 4 day weekend.

 

But the office will definitely be green and forest friendly!

 

OMG, I love it! you could bring yoru machete in every morning and hack your way into your office. A great workout, plus it purifies the air and you can weave kudzu baskets while on the phone!!!
