Don't know if I will ever get in. Didgital has an apparent corrupt file. It stops with a ctastrophic failure on the same file. So I went and bought the preorder from Best Buy...after 4 hours of downloading updates...the last thing I saw was 5 minutes remaining and all of a sudden the clock jumped to 5 hours and began downloading and decompressing....top progress bar was full yet it was going to take 5 more hours...so I don't know what will happen.

 

I am down to 35 minutes now. Woohoo.

 

Wow, so theoretically you can never play but still cap your combat...adventuring..whatever it was level out? EXP farmers are going to have a field day with this one.

 

It's kind of surprising that they designed it to accomodate XP for cash farmers. Well hopefully it cleans out some of the WoW farmers. It'll be quite appealing to be leveled without having to give your account info out I'd imagine. Plus maybe WoW's economy inflation will settle down a bit.

 

Well the only problem is that if only one person is online and trying to grind out XP...they are sharing with people where they normally would be getting full XP for themselves. So trust me....if someone is not around for a couple of days, you can believe I would leave the fellowship so I can get my full XP. If you have a group that always quests together pretty much every day at the same time and all that...well then the fellowship is great because it does allow those few to stay close in level without someone out leveling the others.

 

i think kaikou is referring to the people that pay them chinese farmers that never log off but have three or four different people playing the same toon to power level other people to an unfair advantage, that would then in turn come and pk (player kill) those lower that are not as powerful as them, thus causing mayhem in the realm.

although at the same time, i think it is a fabulous idea for people that like a group of us, where we enjoy playing together and dont mind if someone cant be on *all* the time, as i would gladly share my experience with a fellow dragonwolf.

but i can see what Kaikou is talking about. major abuse in the future sadly

although as of this time they do not have it implemented.

 

I know what he was talking about. I was merely commenting on the system itself as it is intended for, not the farmers.

 

I was merely commenting on what the system will inevitably result in. Great system for a group of buddies to level with each other. Also a great system for XP farmers (not all of them are chinese) to profit off of. It's a win win for both sides, unless you get side-effects like in WoW, such as severe market inflation only countered by countless hours of grinding, or paying those very people for game currency.

Farmers are a big problem in MMOs these days, just surprised there are plans for a system that basically encourages farmers to set up farm in their game.

Technically, yes, you can group together (for now, it may change) but, unfortunately, The KOS Rules still apply so you won't be able to do any quests with the other side unless you are able to build up your faction. (Takes about 300 points or so). You also run the risk of getting ganked by anyone not in your group passing by.

So what you are saying is I can't play the Vulmane because they're from the otherside of the tracks. Well then that kinda sucks. Any suggestions on race/class combo's. Are we looking to run things and have need of a particular thing?
