    Sadly their beta has yet another "only open to North American users" clause.

    EA must still be getting scarred by their publishing department - they can't even seem to blow their noses at the moment without someone screaming bloody murder at them.

    Nice. Friends list is working. This should make gaming a bit easier than "Ok, the server is about 10 up from the bottom of the screen." "But what if I scrolled down?" "Well, you'll have to refresh...wait I think I remember the server name. Something something something Blue 21, I think."

    Okay, so tonight me and Swifty held off a HUGE enemy push in the last part of the map. We maintained our position the whole time and came out of the map with 15000 pts each! :rofl:

    We held off wave after wave of attackers with grenades, rifle fire, knives, and I think I saw Swifty wielding a pine stick.

    Classic battle...

    Oh, and I have 91 knife kills. ;)

    Oh yes. This is our new intro song. This weekend. All Dragonwolves to the front for some video making madness. Quite honestly, probably the best cover of the song I have ever heard. Found this while looking at the Military.com's Shock and Awe video sight.

    So seeing all the CDL excitement in responses on this thread... and all the BF2 I've been playing lately... I pre-ordered even though I'm pretty much broke. Don't let me down guys.

    I tried playing the other day, but it was so slow and laggy that it wasn't worth my limited play time. Don't know if it was my system or the server, likely a bit of both.

    So after about an hour of playing... It rocks, sucked me in just like BF2 does, didn't want to stop playing and lost track of time. A bad combo I know and reminds me of my PlanetSide addiction days.

    Now I was pretty much just noobing it up most of the time but once I started learning the new key bindings and getting over the fact I couldn't go prone as medic with the starting MG, so I could actually hit something other than at point blank range, I started being able to focus on how the game plays. Not enough to formulate an opinion on all the aspects of the game by any means but the vehicles seemed pretty well balanced as did the different classes.

    I definitely need an upgrade of some sort as I had some serious lag going on... But even with that the game was fun. It's obvious you have players from a lot of games that haven't played games that were as squad oriented as this one will be one day. While I was playing most squad members were all over the place on both teams.

    Remember that this is still a beta. Chances are if you are experiencing lag it's due to EA running some checksums against active game play. Something that happens in most beta's I've tested.

    Check back a few posts in this thread. Hamma found a link to some performance tweaks that might help you guys out a bit. I haven't gotten a chance to tweak my game to those specs yet, but will be doing so in the future.

    BTW, waking up at 4am out of a dead sleep sucks monkey balls.

    lol Asp, Ive been playing since day 1 ,. Im rank 13 now and it's gonna be a good game. Only 1 map right now in Beta and you switch from D to O. I think anyone that wants to give it a try will have plenty of time since it not released till the 2nd so far its def fun, For the ones who get it ill look forward to seeing ya in game.

    Until CDL makes a offical Division for this been running around with the Knife=ON guys ive played with for a few yrs now. But the friends list still doesnt work =(

    We got it to work last night. It is very handy in joining servers with friends. We had a whole squad of CDL owning up last night.
