  1. ...to state things about when/why I left and how to those who weren't privy to it.

Back when I actually still played WoW - I've been "WoW" free since March and loving it - I was the part of CDL that helped run things on Aggramar for that game's division. Being small towards the end we never got the opportunity to see end game content and if any of you know that server, if you're not in a "raiding" guild you'll never see the light of day as far as end game goes.....not until the current crop gets nerfed to hell and back after the next patch. That being said myself and another member who I know doesn't have a favorable opinion around here (ex member I should say) left to find a guild that was doing end game. Now the actual date I left was so long ago I don't remember the exact details but I do know I could've handled it better for sure. I had been bitten by the urge to see the rest of the game - I was paying for it after all.

Anyway I left and bounced around 2-3 guilds before settling into the one I was in up until March. The fact that drove me out of WoW aside from burnout was the officer corps was NOTHING like it is and has been here - adults, true to the definition of "adult". TB, be glad you never got to officer status in AMR trust me. It reminded me of high school drama class. Here if there was ever an issue it was solved privately and without dragging someone through the dirt and related cliques. That's something I've always respected and wondered if other guilds/clans I was in for various games could resemble....fat chance I noticed.

Those that knew me from my CDL days might be leary of me for my snarky attitude, sense of humor and brash nature. True those were aspects of me back then but the whole "getting married and becoming a stepdad" situation has definitely grounded me per se. My tongue is a bit more guarded these days. Anyway I will be around more often and hope to run into a few of you in BF2, BFBC2 and BF3 while waiting on Planetside 2.

Has Planetside 1 finally ran its course or is Sony still running servers for it?
    Signed,
    Reign (Chris)

PS is still up, not too many people playing though, very rare to see a red alert or poplock anymore, but still fun....

*cough* ATACS is boss *cough* :p

  3. It is difficult to stay with games when the clan moves on. I'm finding that out with LotRo: there are only a few CDLers still playing, and they are all high level and playing in different zones than me. But they will come help me from time to time to get me past those difficult quests.

    Welcome back KaozReign.

  4. Om

    Om DragonWolf

Maybe I don't remember correctly, but I think you were going through some tough family times around when you left. I know the loss of a significant family member sure threw me out of whack for a long time. Pretty tough times for me. <3

  5. Aye and I still am Half - my dad's going through round #3 of chemo from the tumor removed almost 5 years ago. That and I've dealt with being laid off from a job I had for over 10 years simply because I was a remote worker. Now add on getting married and you could definitely say I've not had a dull few years since leaving CDL.

I will concede I did not handle my exit in the best manner and won't make excuses for it either.

Thanks Sarx and Half for the civil responses - not something AMR's current crop of officers is capable of.

  6. It's good to see you again, Chris. I'm sorry to hear about your dad, getting laid off and the whole marriage thing.

I still remember some of the old tribes days, years ago :)

  7. The T1 days? Geez that was ages ago. Hadn't thought about the whole $A$/5150 days in forever.
