    BF4... there, I said it.

    I've whispered in dark corners with a few fellow CDL about it and figured it's time to bring it out into the open. I know several people AREN'T playing it. What I want to know is who IS planning on playing it?

    If you have any interest at all I'd encourage you to give it a try since with Origin's new great game guarantee you can even pre-order now, play the beta, play the release for up to 24 hours, and if you still don't like the game... you get your money back.

    Anyway... I'm trying it out. If you are as well let me know, and include your Origin ID so we can get together once beta starts. :)

    I didn't see a list of Origin IDs for CDL members anywhere so I'll start one here for those who say they're interested in playing:

    I'll probably be getting it. I like the BF series, or rather I did until they changed the tried and true model into the Bad Company format. Still though, it can be a fun diversion.

    See I liked BC2 better than BF3. That said however I will at no point be paying 200 bucks for a ship and I'm not sure if I would like star citizen anyhow. If there is interest in Bf4 thats where I will be given the choice between the 2.

    I'm nervous to preorder bf4 because I bought 3 then kirkland and then the released the ability to buy premium and get all expansion packs. I hate to spend more money than needed but don't want to wait 4mnths to play.

    I will be watching this.

    No choice needed between the 2. It'll likely be almost a year and a half til SC comes out. I'll have had my fill of BF4 by then. (Plus you can get the game and a ship for $40) :p

    Hah sorry if I'm going to play bf4 it won't be on the comp I did have bf3 once but somehow someone hacked my account and EA was their usual unhelpful self so I'm raising the middle finger at Origin.

    Though I haven't touched BF3 in a while - 30GB on your hard drive really chafes - I am looking forward to BF4.

    Beta dates confirmed:

    Oct 1 if you fall into any of the following:
    -Pre-order the Battlefield 4 PC Digital Deluxe Edition
    -Battlefield 3 Premium member
    -Registered owner of Medal of Honor Warfighter Limited Edition or Digital Deluxe Edition

    Oct 4 everybody else can try open beta.

    Like a few people here I have BF3 Premium, though it's a toss up whether I pre-order BF4 or buy a pledge package for Star Citizen... as it is most of the time, I can't always buy everything the CDL wants to play without a job :mad:

    Makes sense. I'm going to go ahead and order off Origin though because now that they have the Great Game Guarantee I can get a refund for all my money at any time up to 24 hours after I first fire up the game post launch. Basically it's a win/win. Whether I decide to keep the game or send it back I get 3 more days of beta for nothing extra.

    Against my better judgment :( I preordered BF4 and premium. I will be there for the beta. The reason I say "against my better judgment" is the amount of hackers that were playing in BF3. But, if I am with good friends, it doesn't matter... :) I suppose Sent. ordered it too, I know how much he loves EA games....

    Of course I ordered BF4. I love the original gameplay and the fact that EA will be banning blatant hackers on point as soon as the cheat code is recognized by Punkbuster, the number 1 way to bust punks who cheat.

    I seem to always get lucky where hackers are concerned. In all my time playing BF3 I could count on one hand the number of hackers I had trouble with that weren't quickly banned by the server mods.

    How do you guys feel about competing in a ladder with this? I miss winning so bad. I looked on TWL and they have anywhere from 4v4 to 8v8 on their BF3 ladder. I would assume it would be the same for BF4.

    I am very interested in that. I love clan matches and since PS2 isn't going to happen I would definitely be into this game if you guys are willing to compete. I don't care what ladder TWL is just where I looked to get an idea. (I played many Americas Army matches with them.)
