A Return to (some) of our Origins - Planetside 1

    I've read tweets that the original game Planetside 1 will be released for free at the end of April. I'm wondering if there is some interest here in revisiting the old gal and see if we can all hop in and play the old game. I believe that, even if you have a SOE Online account, you will have access to the original game.

    So, old DragonWolves vets. Old Planetside Vets. Newer Veterans. Anyone really. Would anyone here be interested in doing a game night with Planetside 1?

    I'd be interested but I doubt there'll be much action. After this thread went up, I thought I'd check to see if PS1 needed any updates. To my surprise, it didn't and even more so... Could go right into playing. I don't have an active sub to anything or at least I don't think so. It may be free to play already. As for the action, primetime last night, only one other person in game... globally. Ghost hacking Forseral.

    Q: I don’t see PlanetSide 1 mentioned anywhere, are they eligible for this program?
    A: We will offer PlanetSide 1 as free to play game for everyone when the new program rolls out, on or about April 29th, 2014 (or sooner!). Please note that PS1 has no Marketplace and will not see further game development. We know that a large number of people have played it in the past, and we hope you’ll enjoy it again, on us.
