Discussion in 'General Open/Public Discussion' started by Rayzer, 15 Jul 2003.

  1. Hehehe.... I've never been to OG, but I've been to Cheetahs in Vegas. There supposedly are one or two new places even better then the Gardens now.

  2. Makes me want to destroy my paintball gun so it doesn't fall in the wrong hands. Thats not right. Very disgusting. :(

  3. I hear ya bud, I just fired off a couple hundred rounds for practice this past weekend... then I come here and check the forums... I feel somewhat guilty now for having the paintball gun even though I have never, nor would I ever, do anything as craptastic as what those ideets are doing

  4. Greetings,

Each individual makes thier own choices in life..anybody who wields a weapon is much more dangerous that the weapon itself...

Our country is screwed in the longrun anyway, may as well have fun on our way out.

  6. Greetings,

There are those who hold honor and morality true to themselves..that is what will make society last...Individuals that are doing actions like the ones describles will fade away. It has been said what we do in life echoes in eternity..word to live by.

  7. I would say it would be ok, if I were offering you money to take MY things. With reguards to my self, I have the right to do what I please. When you begin to harm others against thier wishes it begins to not be ok.
    Fling :D

  8. because as long as you pay for it...morals shouldn't come into play...?

    here's the kicker:

Who decides what our morals should be?

    :D

  10. ummm....common sense? a persons own integrity? respect for another human being? god forbid those should ever come into play when decided between right and wrong...

I'm a little late here but, god just what paintball needs.

I've played paintball every Sunday or more for about 6 years. The Paintball industry is trying it's best to show everyone that it's a safe and responsible game for everyone and dumb asses like this just throw it away. :(

I don't feel guilty about playing paintball now like some of you said because I know I'd never stoop to that level. I really hate it when I see things like dumb ass kids shooting poeple on the street and this on TV.

In a way I sort of got to hand it to those girls. I've played enough to get bunkered enough (and bunkered my far share of friends too :) .) Even though the article said they lowered the velocity to 200fps that will still hurt. And if they are useing CO2 the velocity could go anywhere between 150 to 300fps depending on the temp outside and how fast they are shooting at the time.

What really makes me mad is they are breaking the #1 paintball rule: Always ware a Mask.

  12. I assure you, what you reguard as moral and what I guard as moral are quite different. Your own morals should come into play for judging your own actions, not those of others.
    Fling :D

  13. right...because what you are saying is...what i do matters only to me and i should not be held responsible for anything that may come of it...people can be hurt from this kind of behavior, people who don't know right from wrong...people who do have mental issues and think..hey...wouldn't it be cool if we REALLY hunted women? Its not the issue of whether they pay for it...so it makes it okay...but there are things that would happen because of it...its called responsiblity and we have so lost the idea of it...

how have we gotten to a point where in this country we don't give a shit about anyone but ourselves? when did this selfishness come about?

    it scares me...alot...

  15. Greetings,

Thank you Ivan..I am glad that individuals who do play Paintball and have a concious are making a stand against this horrible event.

  16. I would agree with Fling as a principle but the problem with this is if something happens to one of these girls its not going to be the fault or problem of the person that shoots her. Morality should be a factor in this and my morals say it wrong but its not my space to judge other about this.

The problem therin lies with when an unfortunate girl gets hurt. Im not sure how many of you play paintball but its not very accurate and there are certain issues like breaking paintballs and windsheer, ETC. Not to mention the ppl paying for this aren't all going to be excellent marksmans at it. It will not be the actions of the ppl involved that gets questioned. The guy that shot her will not be at fault. They will say it was a defective paintball that broke causing the ohers to fly in mad directions or a defective gun. Then as this happens law suits start and the paintball industry takes a large hit against its reptation.

Now the morality of the problem has changed. Its not only their morality that is in question but the paintball industies for not stopping this *as if they could*. So unfortunatly I unltimatly have to disagree with Fling and say the point where someone else needs to step in is where others are hurt by the choices of one.

I think this will well cross the line of harming others against their wishes in the end because remember....American society is more adept to blaming a big corporation then any individual. Individuals don't have large sums of *cash* <--the whole reason we are even having this discusion.
