Looks like it might be a D&DO or Guild-Wars style game.

Closed beta starts May 1st.
They're accepting applications on the site.
It's an NCSoft game.
I applied for the heck of it.

 

Seems like a blatent rip off of Diablo...... regardless, I signed up Seeing as it is like guildwars, is it a safe assumption that there will be no monthly fee?

Since we're talking about beer... I seem to be enjoying that Warrior-beer named Arglaar. It's pretty good.

 

lol. Actually, I am just going to talk about it....

For just starting closed beta the game is in pretty good shape, a few annoyances here and there, but no glaring errors/crashes so far.

The game is going to be free..... as in free to downlod and free to play..... but this begs the question as to how they will be making money. It will probably end up being pay money for uber gear, which would suck for those who don't want to pay, but I guess you could argue that it comes with getting to play a free game (I personally would never pay for gear).

Considering it is so early in beta, I am going to cut the game some slack..... but at this point it is an amusing diversion (it sure beats freecell ). Some small additions would really go a long way.

 

I think it's gonna be similar to Guild Wars, buy the client, play for free.

They're gonna make money on the expansions.

Gameplaywise, I'd say it's alot like Dungeon Siege. Alot.

If you haven't applied for the Beta yet Mani, you should.

If I remember correctly, you need to sign up for it at the PLAYNC site.

If you don't have a PlayNC account, go here https://secure.plaync.com/cgi-bin/plaync_account.pl and create one.

If you do, go here https://secure.plaync.com/cgi-bin/plaync_login.pl and log in.


Once you are in, you should be at the Account Manage page ( https://secure.plaync.com/cgi-bin/plaync_manage.pl )

I tried the edited link, but it was a "Cannot find server or DNS Error
Internet Explorer" page. May be my work blocking it.

 

It's possible.

They may be blocking https sites.

You can try using the IP Address as a workaround.. see if it works.

I just signed up for the beta...I hope I get in.

 

I've got a 6600GT, but its not listed...i put unknown/other...should i just list the base 6600?

The dxdiag will list the card properly of course...but they might not look at it if my initial listing isn't to their liking.
