Yeah, you might want to wait TB. I see this game as a lot of fun, but the staying power for me may not b there. It is a fun game to play both with the guild and solo as well.

But like I said, not sure how long it will hold me. Although I am enjoying it a lot right now.

Looks like the 90's will be wanting their game back soon :p

Graphics dont look to good at all, it looks kinda.. cheesy to be honest lol

Yes if you take away the glowyness of the game, the graphics look really bad.
When I played the beta events I had fun at first, but I found that it became old fast. The missions were very long and basically involved fighting endless hordes of the same two enemy types. I found the 8 skill slot to be too limiting, and the game in general lacked reward/accomplishment.

  11. Reminds me too much of FFXI. . . . . Horrible game, just horrible.

Thus, I'd have to give the big F Word to Guild Wars.

  12. Its not really anything like FFXI, and I even liked FFXI for the most part. Had alot of good stuff going for it, except a few key failures in game play.

The PVE aspect is not to bad, but its defintely not what the game is about. PvP is where its at. I'm practicing pretty regularly with my pvp only toons to figure out what classes I enjoy and are most effective in pvp.

Speaking of which, we really need to discuss building our pvp group correctly. We've all taken off in our own directions for getting into the game and trying out the pve. But to be a effective, were going to need a solid "team" build, not meaning follow some cookie cutter uber make up, but an effective and complimental group.

My R\E from what I've read can be decent in pvp for the disrupting ability and some decent damage, but may start something else for a better pvp fit. Any chance we can get a forum also?

  13. Need some post searing shots. *evil spoiler grin*

The story arc Missions do get long and very challenging, but you don't *have* to do them. You can go off and hike (explore) to most places afaik. One of the first lvl 20s (max in the game) reported just exploring with Henchie groups.

  14. okay.. so i finally got my toon to lvl uber 5 elementist/ranger which works really well cause my uber pet will go kick the monsters booty while i hit it with spells.. i think :) and i am kinda liking it.. i am still having a hard time figuring out how to get around. It is not as "user" friendly as wow.. but i am starting to get the hang of it..
But if we are talking team freindly, i may have to start playing on my monk. i figured for right now i would just start at getting the feel for the game and running around doing some damage. i was trying to stay away from a healer because i always play one, however i want our team to kick some major booty so i will have to work on a healer as well to keep ya'll alive i am thinking ;)

  15. Getting around in GuildWars is simple once you've found a few outposts. You can bring up the Map (M) at any time, click an outpost/city and zone there directly. Makes travel easy once you've done the exploration.

  16. Meh... the game has already lost my interest after two days. Once Battlegrounds come out, it's going to be just a more real looking version of wow with less content that's free.
