    it should look like:

getting shoveled out was a piece of cake in our neighborhood :) i owe these guys, :) we may not be able to leave our cul' da sac, but darnit, we can drive around it safely!! and they took the snow out of everyones drivesways to boot!! its good to live where we do!!! :)

all and all it was a grueling day digging out of the snow :) most people are not going to work tomorrow either :) took the ruler around out back, most of the spots were 22 plus inches, a few were up to 36, like on the side of the house. and there were drifts much higher in places :)

  2. Wow - Nice pics...

Nice to have some light duty equipment nearby - I remember the various attachment when I drove a steer-skid loader.

I've got a 25" snow thrower and my neighbor has a quad with a plow blade on it. We usually take care of one - another as well.

Glad to know you're doing well...

  6. Yea - it started yesterday.
It rained. And rained some more
    Then it became freezing rain.
    Then it snowed.

When I shoveled last night it was nealy an inch of heavy slush (yuk)

It snowed a little bit last night and today its misting/drizzling. Ice Pellets are in the forecast...

  7. Glad your doing ok Mig, I rember a few years ago we got 26 inches and then 2 days later we got another 13 inches so i feel for ya. Stay Warm and safe.

  8. you need some neighbors like we got :) *smiles* :) equipment operators ftw :) actually they all own their own businesses which is nice, so they brought equipment home in anticipation!! if any of them ever move, i am going to cry!

  9. Its sad you have that and I live in M.N. and have brow grass this year. You are lucky!

  10. i am so waiting for the snow i haven't ever seen snow in georgia so its going to be exciting when there is even 3 inches of snow. But i am still waiting for snow, doesn't look like it will snow for christmas. But my nephews are coming for christmas so i guess it will be exciting without snow this year.

  11. snow in little quantities is fun :) this much snow, well... alot of the area is still under stress from it. going out and about we have one lane roads everywhere, due to the fact that there is just not anywhere to put this mass amounts of snow. sadly people are not patient and it is just a pain to get anywhere. not to mention, after a quick trip to the grocery store today, showed that there are not any fresh fruits and veggies, i guess that the trucks are still stuck and having a hard time getting to the stores :)

and if you are in need of gas in your vehicle, you have to drive around town a bit to find out which stations have gas and whatnot. did i mention the fact that there is not anywhere to put this much snow, and the temperatures are staying in the thirties which really is not helping much, because the snow is not melting. alot of the major roads are clear, but they dont have turn lanes, so traffic gets backed up, and the side roads, well.. forget about it :) people are still getting stuck just trying to get onto a main road around here. and more people are getting out now, that they can finally get somewhere and finding out that everyone else is getting out. suckage :)

but we have plenty of everything and are safe and warm and snug in our house :) *hordes the veggie tray* :) its a christmas not many are going to forget!!! :) oh and the malls who dont normally have parking spaces, have even less due to the fact that they have a few thousand spots filled with snow mountians :)

and Kassa :) i am sure that you are going to have a wonderful christmas no matter what :) with family and friends it always makes it special!! :)

  12. Oh my gawd... If the snow was not bad enough, my wife is showering us in smily faces. I guess it's better then getting mooned....
