Programmer's Nightmare

As I pondered the computer screen,
Trying to think of what the numbers mean,
Watching as the code went by,
In a flash of an eye,
It was all gone,
But lo, the temp is filled,
With the code of a thousand nights full,
No space to waste,
No time in haste,
And it runs like a charm
But the sound of alarm,
As the computer reams off,
And the code is not solace,
For my API calls,
As my OS it went blue-screen,
My mouse it screamed,
My moniter flashed,
As my hard-drive crashed
