The Hum

Apparently this game was announced in May, but has remained under the radar due to the peculiar nature of its gameplay. Loosely based on the phenomena of a low-frequency sound; a combination of buzzing, hum and droning with no source only a small percentage of humans hear, the game is set after an alien invasion where most other human life is absent. The Earth has since been occupied by strange machines and the aliens, where survivors are under the threat of recurring abductions, before being returned to the empty world.

Due for release Fall 2014, The Hum is currently on Steam Greenlight whilst some trailers and artwork have been released, and PC Gamer have just released an article that explores the game in more detail:
