So the "game-tweens" have roosted upon my shoulder. I don't say this lightly, as this is a terrible burden to bear! When your blood is tinged with the indelible hue of PC gaming, and there isn't some mouse-popping, keyboard slamming game that has gripped your heart, you experience gaming anemia. Because your blood has been weakened by a lack of this necessary vitamin, a myriad of infirmities may grip you.

About that time is when the dark wings of the game-tweens carry their foreboding message to your ear, alighting upon your shoulders with an unbearable weight. Its like staring at a thousand games of Monopoly/Scrabble that you have been commanded/sentenced to play--BOARD GAMES. Have you ever been on fire? Me neither, but I imagine it is a comparable pain, although the fire will eventually go out.

Okay, so true, there are games to be played. I won't argue that! Right now I am playing some CoD:4 (which is a blast), checking out AA3 (no comment NDA), hitting the nostalgia pipe and toying with Civ IV...all of these providing some of the medicine to allay the total shutdown of my system.

But here is the kicker--gaming isn't gaming unless your teammates are there by your side. Yes, I am sweating out the fever of the game-tweens and occasionally finding relief from the twitching that is symptomatic of this heinous affliction. But without Dragon Wolves alongside me--and let me just say: THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR A PLATOON OF HOWLING DRAGON WOLVES IN ASSAULT MODE--my blood remains diluted.

I need a remedy for the game-tweens. I have to have something that can inject the nutrients that my gamers' blood requires. Somebody dial 911...there has to be somebody out there with the answer.

Have you considered rolling a level 1 character in the game World of Warcraft? I might suggest you'd enjoy a paladin :p

If that's not to your taste, I've been following this for a while..

  3. if you like rts, you could try dawn of War 2, theres a few cdl talking about that right now. Also, I have played supreme commander forged alliance with my son alot, we like to play together, its always a lot of fun and can be had pretty cheap on Direct to drive or at your local game store. Then there is always Company of heroes, Always game for that.
