Keeping an eye on: Vanguard - Saga of Heroes

    Denziens of Thestra
    Just a little write up on the races on one of the three different continents in the game. This one features Humans, Varanjnar (Barbarians), High Elf, Haflings, Vulmane (Think Tauren, but with wolvine features instead of bull), Lesser Giants and Dwarves.

    As far as classes go, they split the classes up into 4 main categories;

    Protective Fighters
    Dread Knight
    Inquisitor
    Paladin
    Warrior​

    Offensive Fighters
    Bard
    Berserker
    Monk
    Ranger
    Rogue​

    Healers
    Blood Mage
    Cleric
    Disciple
    Shaman​

    Arcane Casters
    Druid
    Necromancer
    Psionicist
    Sorcerer​

    Hmmm

    Anyone thinking about this? Im pretty much done with WoW and looking for a new MMORPG. Until then ill just play 2142 but id get this if a few where going to play it.

    I'll say it again for those who are on the edge.

    This game will make EQ look like Super Mario Bro's

    It's supposed to be more hard core than the original EQ was. :lol:

    original eq isnt that hardcore. I played a necro to level 68 and had a great time, wish CDL was playing it. played it post t2 for quite a while. They started devolping instances for quick adventures too, all you had to do was get a party of 5 together for a good time. but oh well, hamma may be right about vanguard, who knows.

    Not trying to downplay the game at all, just going on what I've heard from a few places :D It's all former EQ devs on the core of the team.

    I have been having a hard time seeing what makes this game any better than what is already out there. It sounds like everquest with dragon mounts.

    I've heard from reliable sources that this game is the opposite of fun..... but I won't make any snap judgements myself until I get to try it out. Is anyone in beta? Just come out tell us about it. This is a private forum and no one is going to report you for breaking the NDA. ;)

    Wow. I'm probably going to be playing a Dread Knight High Elf. If only for this reason;
    Elric is possibly one of my favorite fantasy characters.
